![]() Courses must extend for at least a three-week period and meet a minimum of forty-five hours. Transfer credit is given only for courses in which the student received a grade of C- or better. For example, if students take three 3-credit courses, they will be awarded two (2) Framingham State University course credits. It is the student's responsibility to have official transcripts sent directly by the institution to the Office of the University Registrar.Īll approved courses transferred into Framingham State University after matriculation will be awarded Framingham course credit in an amount equal to the cumulative total number of semester hour credits transferred divided by 4 and rounded to the nearest whole number. Transcripts of these approved courses must be submitted to the Office of the University Registrar within six (6) weeks after the completion of the course. The form will then be reviewed for course credit transferability. After obtaining the appropriate signatures for approval of the course, the student must return the completed form to the Office of the University Registrar. Applications for approval of a course should be accompanied by the appropriate catalog description from that institution. Off-campus course approval forms may be downloaded or are available in the Office of the University Registrar. To receive credit for courses taken at other institutions, matriculated students must obtain approval in advance from appropriate department chairs.
